With Coya, designer fittings manufacturer Dornbracht is expanding its portfolio with an innovative new highlight. The new bathroom collection impresses with its fluid form, which moves confidently between different styles. Circle and square merge into a flowing unity, effortlessly bringing seemingly opposing elements together. The distinctive look was created by Sieger Design.

As the first new product launched by Dornbracht under its brand claim “Inspiring your vision”, Coya marks a new approach: its design embodies an openness to contrasts and unconventional design concepts, turning the fitting into a mediator between geometric forms. From the spout and escutcheons to the handles, every detail reflects this distinctive design language. Gently shaped handles, for example, immediately invite touch. “We were interested in the beauty that lies in contradiction,” explains designer Michael Sieger. “Coya is neither round nor square, which makes it difficult to categorise. At first glance, it seems surprising, almost counterintuitive. Yet at the very same moment, it appears incredibly coherent.”

The complex connection between circle and square, characterised by soft transitions and known as a squircle, is rooted entirely in the Transitional style: a blend of traditional and contemporary elements that balances the established with the new. Existing boundaries are set in motion, becoming fluid and being redefined.
The launch of Coya is accompanied by a comprehensive concept covering all areas of application, including an extensive range of finishes. Dornbracht’s rich finishes are particularly striking on the collection’s broad, flat surfaces, whether Chrome, Champagne (22kt gold) or Brushed Bronze. A product range extending from washbasins and bathtubs to showers and accessories also ensures that Coya’s distinctive design can be carried throughout the entire bathroom. Numerous customisation options available through Dornbracht Atelier, such as interchangeable handle inlays, complete the offering and demonstrate the fitting’s remarkable versatility.
