The year 2026 marks an important new design direction for TEAM 7. The company is expanding its design language to include organic forms that make spaces feel softer, more sensual and more immediate. The starting point for this development is the collaboration with Berlin-based designer Stephanie Jasny, whose designs explore a new interplay of precision and softness. With nya, TEAM 7 introduces flowing, calming forms that showcase natural wood in a new way.
Distinctive curves serve as a defining design feature. Surfaces flow smoothly while following precise lines, with every curve based on the clear geometry of carefully defined radii. This tension creates a balanced aesthetic that is emotionally engaging while retaining an architectural quality. Even asymmetrical elements never appear restless, but rather deliberately composed. In this way, nya embodies a sense of calm elegance while carrying a subtle dynamic quality within it.
The nya family is also characterised by its visual lightness. Slender silhouettes, raised cabinets and finely shaped frames give the furniture an almost weightless appearance. Natural wood and metal enter into a dialogue that combines warmth and precision. These characteristic design principles continue throughout all the designs in the collection. This continuity is what makes nya so distinctive: the design language does not end with an individual piece of furniture, but extends from the dining area into the living space and kitchen.
Beyond its formal coherence, nya creates an atmosphere above all through its sensual and tactile qualities, highlighting the natural beauty of the wood. Brushed surfaces, vertical grooves and softly flowing edges give the furniture a visible and tangible depth. The natural aesthetic of the wood thus becomes the guiding principle of the entire collection: every curve and every surface carries the character of the material within it, translating its sensuality into architectural, tangible forms.
The table designed by Stephanie Jasny, with its boat-shaped top, and sculptural metal frame, forms the centrepiece of the family – technically sophisticated yet characterised by a calm presence. The chair, also designed by Stephanie Jasny, picks up on the table’s lines with an organically shaped seat shell that combines comfort and elegance.
The occasional furniture designed by Sebastian Desch translates the principle into rounded cabinets. Their form continues into the graceful legs, giving the design a sense of floating lightness. Versions with a recessed plinth or wall-mounted construction adapt flexibly to different interiors. Optional vertical grooves accentuate the tactile quality of the natural wood surfaces. Finally, Sebastian Desch’s kitchen takes the defined radii into an architectural dimension: rounded side panels, a circular bar top and flowing transitions into the living space make it the connecting element of the overall concept.
Together, the 2026 novelties represent a design evolution that strengthens the brand: sensual in perception, precise in execution and consistent in its approach. TEAM 7 aims to create spaces that are intuitively understood, and furniture that is made to last.
