Uncompromising quality and circularity, interwoven with creativity and a sense of beauty in architecture: For over 50 years, OBJECT CARPET has been a benchmark for high-quality textile floor coverings in the commercial sector. Founded in 1972 and still in family hands, the company combines sophisticated design with German craftsmanship and a strong commitment to sustainability. It understands carpets as an integral design element that structures spaces and creates atmosphere while shaping the sensory experience of architecture. Products by OBJECT CARPET feature an unmistakable signature: The aesthetic and functional quality of the collections, along with a focus on circularity and recycling, make the company a responsible partner for professional interior design.
Design diversity for flexible interior design
With a palette of over a thousand colors and patterns, and supported by an in-house Design Unit, OBJECT CARPET guides planners and architects through all project phases. The portfolio covers a wide range of commercial applications, including broadloom, carpet tiles, and custom-made RUGX area rugs. The design spectrum ranges from timeless elegance and minimalist clarity to experimental looks. This versatility enables fully flexible interior design and strengthens the visual identity of any space – whether offices, hotels, or cultural institutions. OBJECT CARPET pursues a holistic service approach: Clients are supported from the initial draft, receiving individual consultation and customized solutions. This is complemented by assistance with design, color concepts, zoning, and technical configurations.
International appeal
For years, OBJECT CARPET has maintained a creative dialogue with the architectural scene, collaborating with international partners such as Italian star designer Matteo Thun and the renowned UNStudio in Amsterdam. Recent projects include the new LIDL France headquarters in Châtenay-Malabry, designed by Studio M3 Architectes. Covering over 850 square meters, OBJECT CARPET’s floorings enhance both the visual impact and acoustic comfort of the interior. Studio Maison Malapert also opted for custom OC carpets in the elegant 4-star boutique hotel Maison Hamelin in Paris, seamlessly combining softness, sophistication, and acoustic performance. The brand’s appeal is further showcased at major events like the Berlinale: The red carpet at Germany’s most renowned film festival is also supplied by the manufacturer. Fully circular, it unites the magic of cinema with consistent sustainability.
Revolutionary green technology
Harmonizing social, economic, and environmental concerns is deeply rooted in OBJECT CARPET’s DNA. Among other materials, the brand utilizes ECONYL® yarn: Sourced from the Italian synthetic fiber expert Aquafil, it is made from waste such as discarded fishing nets and industrial refuse. Together with Niaga®, OBJECT CARPET is also developing pioneering circular collections based on the “Designed for Recycling” principle. This includes MONO carpets like NEOO, which consists of 100 percent polyester and can be fully returned to the raw material cycle at the end of its lifespan. Furthermore, the revolutionary DUO technology enables the production of carpets entirely free of fillers, consisting solely of polyester and polyamide. The two materials are bonded with an innovative adhesive that easily detaches under heat during the recycling process. This allows them to be easily separated and repeatedly recycled after each life cycle.
Eco-consciousness and health
OBJECT CARPET has long established itself as a pioneer in sustainability. Crafted from recycled materials and free of PVC, latex, and bitumen, the portfolio features exceptionally low emissions (A+). This improves indoor air quality and ensures a thoroughly healthy environment. All products carry environmental certifications such as EPD, Blue Angel, and CRI Green Label Plus. Additionally, the manufacturer explicitly supports projects pursuing HQE, LEED, and BREEAM certification. Finally, all carpets are manufactured exclusively locally in Krefeld, Germany – an approach that not only makes ecological sense but also guarantees the highest “Made in Germany” quality standards.
